River Lodge - 6 bedrooms, sleeps 18

Excellent!

My group of 10 spent two nights at River Lodge for my bachelor party, Friday into Sunday, and had an excellent time. We hung out at the house Friday night and enjoyed the pool table, bar, and large living/dining area. Saturday we biked the D&L Trail from the cabin (easy access!) southbound 23.5mi to Jim Thorpe and caught a shuttle back to White Haven where we grabbed some pizza before biking the mile or so back down to the cabin where we hung out some more and enjoyed the numerous big screen TVs. Lance and Lisa were excellent to deal with - very responsive and helpful the entire process. I highly recommend River Lodge for bachelor parties or large groups - the place could easily accommodate 16 guys - and the cabin is less than 10yr old and perfectly arranged for such an event.

Wonderful!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the River Lodge for our friends’ reunion! The house easily accommodated our group of 14, with a couple of beds to spare. It’s spacious, spotless, beautifully furnished, and fully equipped, everything we needed and more. From the cozy comfort and scenic views to the hot tub, bonfire, and expansive patios, it was the perfect getaway spot. A special thanks to Lisa at Poconos Cabin Rentals and the homeowners for being incredibly helpful and responsive throughout, from booking to check-out, they made the experience seamless and memorable. If you’re staying here, don’t miss out on whitewater rafting, it was such a fun highlight of our trip! I’m already looking forward to coming back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.  Incredible!

The Cabin was incredible! A great location very close to activities and the cabin itself was immaculate. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions leading up to the trip and I would absolutely use them again for a trip in the future!

Perfect!

Lance and Lisa were amazing hosts for us at the River Lodge. The cabin was perfect for our bachelor party with a fire pit, hot tub, and a bar in the basement. We could even hear the river from the back deck! The best part was how secluded we were from everything, so we never had to worry about neighbors. We also took full advantage of many of the activities that Lance and Lisa offered. They got us discounts on pretty much everything: we played Jack Frost National (the course was in really great shape), played paintball at the Skirmish Paintball Fields (some of the guys were a little nervous at first, but it turned out to be the highlight of the trip!), and we rented the sauna and cold plunge - highly recommend, we were able to use this morning, afternoon, and night; and the owner Liam was great for showing how to use everything. For food, we ordered a pig and did the fajitas catering meal. They delivered everything in trays ready to eat which was so great so no one had to cook. Finally, the Holy Ghost Distillery sent a bartender over to make drinks and tell us about their liquor. All the guys loved trying the drinks and the bartender was great. Its a great bonus to keep the extra bottles. Overall, the weekend was absolutely incredible and we would do it over again in a second. Highly recommend using the Poconos Log Cabin Rentals for your rental and working with Lance and Lisa.

 Great Experience!

I stayed at the River Lodge for my bachelor party recently and had a great experience. The house had tons to amenities for my friends and me to enjoy including a fire pit, a pool table and games, a hot tub, and loads of deck space. The house is also a short walk from the river and a trail which has a local bar less than 2 miles down the trail. Lance and Lisa were both incredible hosts, and were very helpful each step of the way. They offer to book a bunch of activities you can do in the area, and were quick to answer any questions I had. Will definitely be using and recommending them in the future.

Extremely Happy!

Our weekend was great! We rented the River Lodge to celebrate a bachelor party and the place was perfect for the group. We had a Quesadilla and Fajita Grill catered to us upon arrival, followed by a bourbon and cigar presentation.
The next morning we had a Bloody Mary and Mimosa breakfast catered to us with a custom omelette bar... which was great because we didn't have to lift a finger. 

The Caterers did everything.
That evening, we had a local Distillery come to the cabin and we had a private bartender for a little over 2 hours before we went out to the Casino and Club. The group and I were extremely happy with the cabin and the catering services we had. I would most definitely recommend renting one of the cabins, we are already looking into our next trip.

Great location for a friend reunion. House is clean and spacious, close to trails and nearby parks. Lance and Lisa are very responsive to any needs I had during my stay.

Super Cute!

The host was extremely helpful!. The pictures don’t do it justice - the cabin is super cute! It was perfect for our big group. It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere and super peaceful - we loved it, it was exactly what we needed!

Beautiful Cabin!

The River Lodge is a beautiful cabin! The cabin provides many areas to entertain and fit our group of 14 comfortably. We really enjoyed the large decks and listening to the river while enjoying the outside. Lance and Lisa were extremely helpful when planning my friend’s bachelor weekend. Any question I asked they were able to point me in the right direction. All instructions were clearly laid out and easy to follow. They offer a variety of suggestions and resources when planning activities. You most certainly can plan a fantastic weekend with their support!

Highly Recommend! 

We had a great time at the lodge with my friends for a bachelor party in the fall. Lisa and Lance were great hosts and helped me setup a tee time and handle the pig roast we had, that I highly recommend. The house was perfect to fit the needs of our group and we enjoyed the fire pit outside for most of the weekend. I would stay there again and recommend this property to other friends looking to do a similar weekend.

Wonderful!

The River Lodge cabin is wonderful! The cabin is beautiful and well-appointed (the only thing it lacks is WiFi, but cell reception is great), easy to find, and is conveniently located to loads of trails. The owners are reasonable and responsive as well.

Will Stay Again!

We have a group of old high school and college friends that get together every year. We typically go camping, but the weather forecast was calling for a lot of rain. We rented this pace instead. The house was great - clean, spacious for sleeping all of us, full of amenities and perfect for us. We were also able to have a nice fire on Friday before it rained. Would definitely stay again!

I've stayed at Poconos Log Cabin Rentals twice now for Bachelor Parties. The first time as an attendee and the second time as the Best Man/Organizer. Both stays were incredible - the cabins were perfect for a weekend with all the guys and close to a huge number of things to do - paintball, white water rafting, casino, hiking, ATVs, etc..  Spacious!

We loved how spacious the lodge was--enough room for all. Stairs were a little hard on arthritic knees but were slowly doable. Pool table was a big hit with all. Beds were very comfortable and all got a good nights sleep. Bike path below lodge was beautiful and very nice for hiking. Young adult family members and kids enjoyed the rafting trip they booked. Family trip to town restaurant (hatchet throwing and arcade room) enjoyed by all. Adult fishermen enjoyed fishing. Nights finished with camp fires and smores were a kids delight.  Trip to Camelback Waterpark was also a real nice time. Trip was a great get away break to nature enjoyed by all 15 of us. Fantastic Weekend!

Property was exactly as advertised and more. The check in process and communication with the property owner was seamless. House was very clean upon check in and had plenty of beds to accommodate our party. We loved relaxing outside playing corn hole as well as enjoying the many activities available in the house such as pool, poker etc. Only feedback I have is there were no darts for us to enjoy the dart board. Other than that it was a fantastic weekend and I would definitely go again!

Great time!

Our group of 18 guys had a great time at the River Lodge. The rooms were comfortable, the activities (pool table, poker table, campfire) were useful, and the deck and common areas had more than enough room to accommodate us. First I just wanted to once again thank you for everything you did to help me make the weekend a breeze. The communication was fantastic and that was 24/7. The house was more than we could have asked for. The wood work was amazing throughout the whole house. The basement area is the perfect man cave / hangout area. We enjoyed playing pool, watching baseball and playing poker down there. The back deck is a masterpiece. After we had an exquisite surf and turf meal the stories and memories that were reminisced while on the back deck was one of our favorite moments. I hope we were as good of guests to the River Lodge as you were renters! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone! I plan to be in touch in the near future as I would highly consider renting other Cabins that are available for the perfect private family weekend vacation!

 Recently a group of 15 of us stayed at the River Lodge for a bachelor party. The cabin itself was beautiful. It accommodated all of our needs such as fire pit, game room, plenty of beds, and an awesome second story deck that overlooks the Lehigh River. Lance and Lisa are wonderful and took care of all of our questions and needs. It is certainly a must do again kind of weekend.

Annual Trip

Stayed at the River Lodge cabin for a guys weekend in the Poconos. My group has been making this yearly trip to the Poconos for over 20 years and this is the best place we have stayed at. The space is perfect for a large group and has plenty of bedrooms/beds and the first floor game room/bar was a big hit with the group. There are plenty of houses to rent in the Poconos but this is an actual log cabin with a real wood burning fireplace. The property is also a very private and did not require being harassed at a security checkpoint for access. I have rented other cabins from Lance & Lisa in the past and they are always very responsive.

 Wonderful Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful stay for Thanksgiving with young kids all the way up to grandparents. The house spacious enough for all of us and we got great use out both the indoor and outdoor fires. Also great to be close enough to town for when we needed supplies or anything else. We really enjoyed our time and was everything we hoped for.

Birthday weekend!

My friends and I stayed here over the weekend for my birthday. We’re all from NYC so we love any opportunity we can get to travel to the Poconos for a weekend in the woods. I was looking for a cozy cabin and this was exactly that. The house was even bigger in person and was tucked away in the woods. Very accommodating for a large group of people!! Lance and Lisa were super easy to communicate with and were very clear in their directions for using the cabin. I would definitely love to stay here again!!

Bachelorette Weekend

Had the best weekend celebrating my bachelorette party at the River Lodge! We had about 18 girls and all fit comfortably! The house was huge, the decor was awesome and the outside decks were great for all the fun festivities! Perfect fall foliage for white water rafting and hanging at the house! Lisa and Lance were great hosts and were very responsive if we needed anything! They set us up with a list of local recommendations for anything we needed and were interested in doing! The pig roast was a huge hit - definitely recommend doing that! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a mountain getaway with friends and/or family!

Amazing!

Hi my name Sal and I recently stayed in the Poconos at the River Lodge. The cabin was truly amazing. From the cabin itself to the grounds was very nice. The River was so close that you can hear the River. We chose this place for a bachelor party weekend. Best idea ever. We took advantage of the what the cabin had to offer us. From bbq, to sitting around the fire pit, to playing cards in the basement, corn-hole on the deck, and watching football. I want to give a special thanks to Lance and Lisa. They helped at every aspect from start to finish.

2nd time back!

In my first review (see below), my fiance and I stayed at the River Lodge because our wedding was cancelled. We decided to return for a second visit with our kids. We had a blast!  We hiked, we went horse back riding, which was really fun at the Mount Laurel Riding Stables. We cooked hot dogs and hamburgers outside and then we built a fire and make S'mores. It was a weekend of relaxation and a lot of laughter. Lisa and Lance are very accessible and also have great suggestions on activities and places to eat. We are already thinking of going back to try one of the other cabins. You should check out the River Lodge though. You will love it!!

Amazing!

My fiance and I came up for the weekend because our wedding had been cancelled so we were looking for secluded get away.  The River Lodge is only 1.5 hours from Long Island, NY.  When we pulled in, we were amazed.  The River Lodge is beautiful with a deck in the front and a large wrap around deck in the back with a view of the River.  Lisa, one of the owners stayed in contact with us to give helpful hints on what to do and where to go for supplies, etc.  We walked on the River walk, went into town and just spent some quality time in front of the wood burning fire!  Downstairs has a pool table, a card table and a bar!  On Saturday night, we were returning from picking up food and saw fireworks.  Lisa texted me that one of neighbors set these off in honor of our wedding day, which was very special to us. We were just blown away and look so forward to coming back  with our family.  I highly recommend you visit...SOON.

 Christmas Vacation

Christmas Vacation - My family and I stayed at the River Lodge Cabin for Christmas and it was absolutely amazing!!! There was more than enough room for all of us (8 adults 15 children). The scenery was beautiful especially at night. The cabin was decorated with lights for the holiday and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to make a Christmas feast. There is a Walmart 20 minutes away just in case. We didn't do any activities as it was a holiday and we spent the time watching movies, dancing, and playing games. There was never a dull moment. I highly recommend this cabin for any and all reasons. It's just absolutely beautiful and Lance & Lisa was the biggest help and available at all times if needed. We will be coming back for sure.

Legendary!

I stayed at River Lodge - This was a legendary decision! Pictures do not do this place justice, the rooms are huge, the scenery is breathtaking! Everyone slept comfortably and we had 15 people with us. It was perfect for group as we were completely secluded in the woods. The decks are large enough to have parties on and sounds of the river in the background reminds you where you are. They’re two large grills and a fire pit that made for awesome outdoor bonding! We went to the local shooting range and bought the place out for cheap! There is so much to do that the only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer, but that’s our fault. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know! The guys that came want to do this every year. Well worth every penny!

Luxurious Cabin!

There are not enough good things to say about our stay.  A weekend away in one of the most luxurious log cabins I've ever seen. Had 15 guys during the weekend with room for more. Beautiful balcony overlooking the river and so much room for activities. Went to the shooting range on Saturday (The Cabin Armory) located very close by and had an amazing time. Back to the house for some dinner then out to the local club for an even better time. I highly recommend this rental to anybody who enjoys anything and everything. Whether you are looking for peace and serenity or having a raging good time this place is for you. Can't wait to return sometime soon for more fun times.  (with Felix G)

Girls Trip

This was a girls trip to see the Poconos and surrounding area.  So happy we picked the River Lodge as our home base! From the very first email to our checkout, Lisa and Lance were helpful, informative and always prompt in their replies. The cabin is spacious, clean and in a beautiful wooded area just above the Lehigh River. We went exploring every day and then loved cooking at the cabin in the evening. The fireplace is wonderful to sit by and the decks outside are peaceful and private. We did some fishing (thanks, Lance!), visited Jim Thorpe, hiked the Lehigh River Gorge Trail, went to Hickory Run and Nescopeck State Parks, and had drinks/snacks at Nick's Lakehouse on Lake Harmony. Also went to a fun bar called Murphy's Loft. We girls had a great time and highly recommend the River Lodge.
